SUZUKI MAKES A PLEA
NEW YORK, May 25
The Japanese Prime Minister, Admiral Suzuki, told the representatives of more than 100 aircraft manufacturing concerns whom he called together to hear his appeal lor redoubling aircraft production that "aircraft are the key to victory." He added that this was not a war which could be won with bamboo spears. A deputation, later calling on Admiral Suzuki, presented a four-point programme for aiding the war effort. One of the points was the advocacy of the building of wooden aircraft.
