PRIZE-GIVING
WELLINGTON BOWLING CLUB
Prizes won in the Wellington Bowling Club's competitions last season were presented at a smoke concert held at the club's pavilion on Wednesday evening, when the president, Mr.1 R. O. Petersen, reviewed the season's activities.
Congratulations-were extended to Mr. T. Lock upon his election as vicepresident of the New Zealand Bowling Council. Representatives of the Wellington Bowling Centre and of affiliated clubs were present. , The following toasts were honoured: "Wellington Bowling Centre," proposer Mr. L. Goldfinch, response Mr. A. B. Guise, president; "Officers of the Wellington Bowling Club," proposer Mr. T. Lock, response Mr. R. Petersen, president: "New Zealand Bowling Association," proposer Mr. A. Fletcher, response Mr. J. Norrie; "The Season's Champions." proposer Mr. S. Potter, response Messrs. S. L. London and A. Edwards; "Kindred Clu,bs," proposer Mr. L. J. Cronin, response Messrs. F. Jacobs (Johnsonville) and Cairo (Otaki); "The Ladies," proposer Mr. E. D. S. Turner, response Mr. S. McLean; "The Artists and the Press," proposer Mr. J H. O'Donnell, response Mr. Soamcs.

Prizes were presented to the following:—Singles. S. L. London; pairs. H. Bishop and D. Christie (s); fours. W. Smith, A. Falconer, H. Green, and A. Edwards (s); handicap singles, L. J. Cronin; junior singles, A. Chegwidden; junior pairs, G. Webster and L. Cor-d----ing (s); percentage fours,. Carruthers, Waugh, Coventry, E. Walker (s); president's and vice-president's day fours. F. Bash/am, J. Roberts. E. D. S. Turner, and D. Elias (s).
