STREET DAY APPEAL.
An advertisement in this issue draws attention to the "Girls Behind the Guns" street clay appeal to be made on Thursday next. All proceeds will go to further the work of the United Industries' Club (Inc.). Situated a» tho corner of Willis and Ghuznee Streets, the club provides social and domestic facilities for girls and young women whose work in Wellington necessitates their living away from their homes. Plainly affected at present are women workers in war industries and" women members of the Forces, to whom the club is available.
