COMMERCIAL EXAMINATIONS
Medallions and diplomas won by successful Wellington candidates in the 1944 Chamber of Commerce examinations were presented by the president of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce (Mr. S. W. Peterson) this week. The winners were:—Chamber of Commerce junior scholar for New Zealand, Miss Mary G. Corlett, honours in shorthand and typewriting, distinction in commercial English, pass in bookkeeping, office practice, handwriting; Wellington scholar, Miss Rita M. Wallace, honours in shorthand and typewriting; pass in bookkeeping, office practice, commercial English, handwriting; senior typewriting, first in New Zealand, Miss A. Shakes; second, Miss M. I. Lee; bookkeeping, first in New Zealand, Miss E. B. Wilson; best Wellington shorthand candidate under 17 years, Miss P. M. Sheeran.
