REPLY BY V.M.C.A.
SCOTTISH CHURCH'S ACTION Rec. 1.40 p.m. LONDON, May 24. V.M.C.A. headquarters in London, referring to the decision of the Free Scottish Church [see page s], points out that the V.M.C.A. in Scotland is a separate* national movement, with separate administrative machinery. "The V.M.C.A. embraces all recognised Christian > churches in its membership, so within the movement we have all sorts of viewpoints," it was stated. ' "As an inter-denominational movement, we have not a particular standpoint on modern doctrines." Answering criticism of the Y.M.C.A.'s official booklet, headquarters says: "That was a gift book, brought out during the lait war, giving snapshots of life as it was for our soldiers in .France and 4on Gallipoli. The booklet was never re-issued. It has been out of print for 25 or 30 years."
