VICTIMS OF R.A.F. MINES
LONDON, May 24. Mines laid by the R.A.F. sank 550 enemy ships and damaged 480 from Bordeaux to the eastern Baltic. The R.A.F. began mine-laying in April, 1940, since when more than 47,000 mines were dropped. Special chartsshowed the position of every mine. .The areas are now being* cleared.
