SITUATION ON BORNHOLM CLARIFIED
LONDON, May 24. The Russian high command officially informed the Danish Governor of Bornholm that the island was recognised las a part of Denmark and was only occupied by the Red Army because it was situated behind the Russian occupation zone, says the Copenhagen correspondent of Reuters. The occupation would cease when questions which had arisen in Germany in connection with the war had been settled. The Red Army would take no hand in Danish administrative questions.' ■ The correspondent says that the Danish authorities interpret the Russian statement as a complete and satisfactory clarification of the Bornholm situation.
