Mr. Alec McDonald was appointed selector for Wellington again at a meeting of the Wellington Rugby Union. To give him better coverage of the Hardham Cup teams he 'will be assisted by Mr. R. J. Morgan.

Home and home representative matches will be played with both the Auckland and Canterbury Unions again this season, said the chairman of the management committee, Mr. J. N. Mlllard. The Wellington City Council advised that It had granted the union 20 grounds for Rugby games on Saturday afternoons, subject to the payment of £10 for each ground. The grounds were only to be utisilised for club competitions, and boys under 15 years of age would be prohibited from^playing on Saturday afternoons. The Director* of Parks and Reserves reserved the right to say whether grounds were iv a fit condition for use.

The Karori Club advised that it had been compelled to go into recess owing to insufficient players being available.
