General Renato Ricci, earlier reported to have been arrested, committed suicide. Others arrested include Giovanni Preziosi, Mussolini's chief Jew-baiter, and Basile, described as a former Minister of the Interior, who was caught trying to escape with 30,000,000 lire in gold. Rome radio reports that'3ooo Fascists have been arrested.
