AIR COMMAND
CHANGE IN MEDITERRANEAN Rec. 12.40 p.m. RUGBY, February 23. It is officially announced that Air Marshal Sir Guy Garrod has been appointed commander-in-chief of the R.A.F. in the Mediterranean and the Middle East, and deputy to the com-mander-in-chief of the Allied air forces in the Mediterranean.
When Air Marshal Garrod shortly takes up this appointment, the present commander-in-chief. Air Marshal Sir John Slessor, will be leaving to take Lip another high appointment.—B.O.W.
