LEND-LEASE AND MONEY
WASHINGTON, February 22.
The "Washington Post" in an editorial commenting on lend-lease, says the reckoning of lend-lease contributions in terms of dollars as though they represented Allied indebtedness was meaningless.
•'The goods we sent to Russia were used to kill Germans, who, when dead, ore incapable of killing Americans.'-' says the newspaper. "We can reasonably- take "pride in the effectiveness of our aid, but cannot reasonably expect to be repaid in money any more than we expect to bo repaid in money for ths weapons md supplies we gave our own soldiers.''
