REUNION BUFFET TEA
About 150 old girls of the Wellington Girls College gathered in the Eng-lish-speaking Union Rooms on Thursday for the buffet tea, which this year formed the main function of the an- ?!? it re?nion- The tables were beautifully decorated with flowers and the guests were received by the president, ™^ s-J^ Hanton formerly Miss Lilian Mitchell), and the principal of the college, Miss E. M. North. Items were given by Miss Dorothy Downing, Mrs. V. Rollings, and Miss S. Austin-Turtle. The annual meeting followed the tea, and after Miss North had conveyed greetings from the college Miss R. Ward presented the retiring president, Mrs. W. Hanton, with a beautiful crystal lamp, accompanied by a sheaf of gladioli, as a token of appreciation of the fine service she has given to the association. The new president is Miss Dora Johnstone, who was elected unopposed, and the new committee comprises Mesdames E. Kircher, R. Delicate, V. Rollings, M. Thompson, L. Ferguson, P McVeagh, Misses R. Hardie, E. Conder, B. Stewart, L. Stewart, M. Cook, A. Shallcrass, V. Dawson. M. Aston,.M. McCartney, P. Rose, B. Trevena, and J. Holtom.
