OBITUARY
MR. F. V. KELLY
The death occurred in Wellington recently of Mr. Felix Vincent Kelly, formerly of Auckland. Mr. Kelly, who was aged 80, was born in Australia in 1865. He was educated at Camden College, Sydney, and at Auckland College. He was the younger son of the late Mr. Adam M. Kelly, one of Australia's early Scottish settlers and owner of two large stations in Australia, as well as the Tara Bush Station, North Auckland. Well known as a civil engineer and surveyor, Mr. Felix Kelly was a member of the New Zealand Institute of Surveyors. He was also a well-known sportsman, having represented the Auckland Province in cricket on numerous occasions, and he had the reputation of being one of the best rifle shots in.the province. He was also a keen yachtsman and golfer. Mr. Kelly is survived by his wife, who is at present in England, and his two sons, Gervih Patrick Kelly, who was transport officer of the 2nd Battalion, Wellington Regiment, and who is now manager of Messrs. E. W. Pidgeon and Co., Ltd., Wellington, and Felix Kelly, who is serving in the Royal Air Force in England.
