TRIBUNAL'S DECISIONS
A principal order issued by the Railways Industrial Tribunal provides for an increase in the minimum salary payable to adult male employees in the First Division of the railway service from £155 per annum to £195 on attaining the age of 21, irrespective of service. Other minimum salaries provided rrr are £205 on.completion of five years' permanent service, £230 on completion of six years, and £240 on completion of seven years, then, after one year, £245. These salary rates, which operate as from December 7 last, are the same as those now operating in the Public Service and the Post and Telegraph Department.' Another principal order operative from September 1 last provides for the following rates of lodging allowance for First Division junior employees:— Salary £65 per annum, lodging allow-) ance £55; salary £80, allowance £50; salary £95, allowance £40; salary £115. allowance £25. j
An interim order fixes the minimum annual holidays for all railway employees at two weeks.
