UNABLE TO DIG IN
PRESSURE ON GERMANS

The Russians are adding scores of new places to the towns numbering over 100 which were taken yesterday in the drive towards Austria, says the Moscow correspondent of the Associated Press. The Germans Seem unable to dig in and establish new defence lines. The Russians, while keeping up their northward advance in southern Hungary to within 35 miles of Buda-
|fok, 10 miles from the north-eastern tip of Lake Balaton and 45 miles in a straight line west of the Danube, represented another advance westward of 10 miles. Previous reports from Moscow placed--the Soviet advanced elements at 15 miles fr6m the lake at some points. Moscow also reports that the [Russians driving northward west of the Danube have advanced about 15 miles in the past 24 hours. A Moscow communique says the places captured include Ozora and Eleszallas. on the west bank of the Danube 37 miles south of the capital, and added that fighting was occuriring in the outskirts of Szigetvar,
