WELLINGTON HARMONIC SOCIETY
. In the Concert Chawbei of the Towi, Hall, under the conduetorship of Mr. H. IVmpie White, the Wellington Harmonic Society, with which is associated the Wellington Apo'lo Singers, will this evening give the final concert of the 1944 season, when a bright, tuneful, and well-varied programme of pan-singing I male, female, and mixed loice), instrumental! and vocal solos will be presented. The cuoir is well known for the excellence of its work, and. with such capable assisting artists as Myra Sawyer, popular soprano, Zita Austin, talented violinist, and Harold Whittle at the piano, a treat is in store for those attending. Included is the delightful "Fly, Singing .Bird" JSlgar) for female voice, with accompaniment for two violins and piano, aud the stirring patriotic chorus, "For Empire and for King" (I'ercy Fletcher). The concert starts at 8 p.m.
