SUNK BY AMERICAN SUBS
Rec. 12.30 p.m. WASHINGTON, Dec. 4. A Navy Department communique announces that United States submarines, have sunk 20 more vessels in the Pacific and Far East, comprising a light cruiser, a destroyer, a tanker, 13 cargo vessels, and four medium cargo-transports. Japanese vessels sunk by American submarines now total 874, of which 82 were warships. Another 37 ships have been probably sunk.
