DISCOVERY BY RAILWAY
P.A AUCKLAND, December 4. The dead body of a recently-born male child was found at the side of the main south railway line 300 yards north of the Puketutu station, about five miles south of Te Kuiti, at 4 o'clock this afternoon. The child's body waL injured and the indications pointed to it having been thrown from a passing train, possibly several days ago.
Detective-Sergeant W. R. Murray, of Hamilton, left lor Te Kuiti as soon as the discovery was reported, and is in charge of the police investigations. A post-mortem examination is being held.
