OBITUARY
MR. H. W. PIPER
O.C. • , AUCKLAND, This Day. The dfjath occurred in Auckland on Saturday of Mr. Horace Wensley Piper, in his s'9th year. Born in Dunedin in 1885, My. Piper joined the staff of the Australian Mutual Provident Society at Wangauui in 1901, later transferring to Wellington. He spent some time at the Aucklamd office from 1905, returning in 1911 tr> Wellington, where he entered into partnership with Mr. J. W. Carr as chi'jf representative for the society. In 193 fi Mr. Piper was appointed supervisor pi agencies for New Zealand, and went/to Brisbane in 1939 as manager of thfe Queensland branch. Mr. Piper is sijuf-yived by his wife and two >sons.
