A knock-out in the eighth round secured the verdict for Tommy Dunn over Clarrie Rayner in a scheduled ten-round welterweight professional boxing contest in Hastings last night, .
In the sixth round Rayner went down for two counts of nine. In the seventh round he came out fresh, sending Dunn down twice. However, in the eighth, Rayner was knocked out."
