"TALENTS EVENING"
UNITED MOTHERS' CLUB
■ The annual "talents evening" of the i Free Kindergarten Association's United Mothers' Club was held at the Berhampore Hall on Tuesday, and the programme was a revelation of what a great deal of talent can be found among the members of such a club There was singing in harimony by the Berhampore Singing Circle under the direction of Mrs. Roadley, play acting by members oft the Miramar Club, a breezy pierrot show by Wellington South members, a comedy-drama by the Petone group, folk dancing by Ngaio members, and amusing short plays by Berhampore members. Special guests included Mrs. J. A. Doctor, president of the Free Kindergarten Association, Miss Wilson, principal, Mesdames Dowsett, Findlay, Denholm, Unsworth, Palmer, Madame Tagleish, Misses Kemp, Scott, and Ford, and the directors and staff of each kindergarten, and they were received by Mrs. Tasker, president of the United Mothers' Club, Mesdames Milburne, Parrant, Laird, Hutchison, and Hill, life members of the club, were presented with posies Students served the supper.
