WELLINGTON CLUB'S DAY
The Wellington Football Club's annual football sports competition will be held at the Polo Ground tomorrow. The competition consists of place-kicking, drop-kicking, punting, and sprinting, and the member gaining most points in these events becomes the holder of the Levin Shield. This is the jubilee year of the trophy, which was presented to the club in 1594 by the late Mr. w. H. Levin, a former president of the club. Owing to the war, the tournament has not been held since 1940, when the shield was won by R. C. Veitcli, now serving overseas with the Air Force.
