The Americans have seized a vast German plant in Lorraine where a wide range of guns was produced and also steel shell-cases for 88's at the rate of 150,000 a 'month, 'states a correspondent of the Associated Press of Great Britain. The plant covers 10 acres and is equipped with modern machinery, including some made in the United States. An old Frenchman •said that the buildings were started when the Germans were restoring French industry under the terms of the Versailles reparations. The economic crisis intervened: Then the Germans returned in 1940 with complete blueprints and took up the work where they left off.
