SWEDISH RUNNERS WANTED A suggestion that inquiries be made with a view to having New Zealand included m the itinerary of the two noted Swedish runners, Gunder Haegg and Arne Andersson, who were to tour the United States this season, was made & *&■ A-■C.'-Kitto"at a meeting of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association's committee last night It was decided to sound amateur athletic authorities ;in the United States as to the possibilities of the two distance runners coming to New Zealand Information was given by Mr. J Prendegast that the position in regard to supplies of spikes and running shoes for the coming season promised to be somewhat easier. «-•.««_« The annual meeting of the N.Z.A.A A was fixed for November 25. *JAAA-
