PROPOSAL TO PURCHASE
"The Dominion Producers' Cooperative Agency, Ltd., has been negotiating with the Government for the purchase of the Internal Marketing Division's trading branch and patting plant in Wellington," states Mr. D. G. Begley, chairman of directors of the Heretaunga Co-operative Dairy Co., and general manager of the Hawke's Bay dairy producers' co-operative marketing organisation, Hawke's Bay Farmers' Products, in an article upon co-operative marketing published in the "Dairy Exporter." Mr. Begley stated that the negotiations had been protracted, but some headway had been made. Within six months, perhaps, even less, he hoped that the industry^ would own a distributive service. in the city of Wellington. : •
