VICEREGAL. Government House, Wellington. _, September 18. Their Excellencies the GovernorGeneral and Lady Newall, attended by Flight Lieutenant H. A. Eaton, were present at the united public meeting held this evening in the Town Hall in connection with the Christian Order Week.
September 19. This morning his Excellency the Governor-General received the Chief of the Naval Staff, Commodore Sir Atwell H. Lake.
Detective F. A. Gordon, who has been stationed in Auckland since 1937 has been transferred to Petone.
Mr. C. Meachen, hon. secretary of the Wellington Central Council, New Zealand Federation of Health Camps is visiting Wanganui and Taranaki in connection with the health postage stamp campaign.
The Hon. Adam Hamilton, Minister in Charge of War Expenditure, who entered hospital recently to undergo a short period of treatment, was in his usual place in the House of Representatives today.
Mr. G. A. Duncan, director of the export division of the Marketing Department, has returned to Wellington from the United Kingdom, which he visited in connection with the discussions relating to the prices for New Zealand primary produce.
