WOMAN KILLED
CROSSING SMASH
P.A. ASHBURTON, This Day. A level crossing smash in the borough this morning resulted in the death of Mrs. Esme Preddy, whose husband is on active service overseas. Her mother, Mrs. Ingram, was seriously injured. A rake of trucks obscured the view and the engine of a goods train struck the car square on.
