REHABILITATION
WELLINGTON COMMITTEE
A report presented at the monthlymeeting of the Wellington Rehabilitation Committee showed that 5681 exservicemen, discharged or demobilised in the Wellington district up to and including August 31, had been dealt with as follows:—Not yet discharged or remaining on military service in New Zealand, 815; in hospitals or recuperating at home, 335; undergoing adult apprenticeships, 171; returned to preservice employment, 1480; resumed employment other than pre-service 2289* acquired or returned to own business, 273; under action, 3.18. The finance sub-committee's report disclosed that the following number of cases had been dealt .with during the month:—Residential erections spurchase homes, 11; business, 9; furniture, 19; tools of trade, 3; miscellaneous, 1; declined, 6. The housing sub-com-mittee reported that up to July 31 ■ v ex"servjcemen had been allocated either a State rental house or a rental flat. Messrs. W. Fox and C. Clabburn were welcomed as full-time members of the J^habilitatibn Committee.
