OBITUARY
MR. A. J. CRAIG
The death'has occurred in Wellington of Mr. Andrew John (Jack) Craig, of Hataitai, who was well known in business, circles as well as in the units with which he was associated on home service in the present war. Born in Wellington, he was the son of Mrs. A. E. and the late Mr. J. Craig, of Wellington, and was educated at the Levin High School. At one time he was on the staff of Hope Gibbons, Ltd., and later with R. V. Bristol and Co., and on completing service in- this war he joined the firm of J. Sadler and Co. A returned soldier of the last war, in which he was a member of the Advance Guard to Samoa before serving with the N.Z.R.B. in France, he joined the National Reserve when the call came during the present war, and subsequently he was appointed adjutant of the Makara Battalion of the Home Guard in the rank of lieutenant. Mr. Craig, who was aged 50, is survived by his wife and two daughters (Mrs. 7/. Schneider and Miss Gwendoline Craig). Mr. E. S. Craig (Wellington) is a brother and Mrs. P. P. Stevens (Karori) a sister. The funeral took place today.
