EXTENSIVE FLOODING
BELGIUM AND HOLLAND Efj £ ,2 + P.m. ; ;■■■ LONDON, Sept. 1. ■Fighter pilots returning from strafing feSJd f^^^osiS.nJK reported that the Germans are floodins large areas in Belgium and Holland in front of the advancing American columns, says the British United Press correspondent at American Air £°™™^ d. headquarters. The- pilots saia the inundations appear to be chiefly in northern Belgium and southern Holland. Large areas between Antwerp and Rotterdam are said to be completely inundated. Secret radio orders flashed all day from London- to the resistance leaders in Belgium, '.says the military correspondent of the "Daily Express." Not one German: is to be allowed to pass on the way to ', Germany. ' Sabotage which since D Day has almost completely paralysed the Belgian railway system, is now being brought to a grand climax.
