GERMAN HEADQUARTERS
Rec. 12.45 p.m. RUGBY, Sept. 1. Amazing photographic evidence confirms the destruction by six R.A.F. Mosquitoes last evening of a suspected German -headquarters near Metz. The place is thought to have housed some 2000 personnel, and the pictures prove that .a' great number of men were caught in the building. One photograph shows troops scattering in terror from bombs and cannon strafing, and another—of a scene immediately after the burst—shows casualties lying in a tangled heap outside the devastated building.— B.o.W,
