There was some spirited b\xing at the concluding session of the Wellington Boxing Association's amateur championships In , • the Town Hall last night. Seventeen bouts were decided during the four-hour programme. Following aro the results:— SENIORS. Welterweight. W. Craig (Hedberg), 10 7 beat W. Ludrton (Hedberg), 10.8. Luddon was forced to retire in the third round with a cut above the eye. Bantamweight. B. Goslin (City : Mission), 8.6, knocked out L.Phllp (Hallway). 8.5. Light-heavyweight. N. . Ross (Hedberg) ll'.G, beat E. O'Neill 1 (Air Force), 11,13, on points. The judges , were unable to ugree at the end of the bout | nnd. air extra round was ordered, after which Iloss was given the decision for. continued aggression and faster punching. Middleweight. I N. Koss (Hedberg) won the title through the default of his two gymnasium mates, W. Luddon and W Craig, JUNIORS. Welterweight. H. Hanson (City Mission), 10.6, beat J. Kaika (Poiirua). 10.7. on points Hanson beat B. O'Sullivan (Hedberg), 10.5, on points in the flnal. ' , Middleweight. J. Fox (Boys' institute) 10.12, beat M. Tracy (Palmerston; North), ,11.2, on. points. Featherweight. E. Ahem (Hedberg), 9.0, beat R. Romanos (Martin's), 9.0, oh points Lightweight. C. Adams (Railway), 9.7, beat It. Waller (Martin's), 9.8, oh points. N. Woods (Hedberg), 9.7, beat J. Barndon (Railway), 9.7, on points. Woods beat Adams'in the final by a t.k.o. in the third round. < Paperweight. ■T. \Vano (Hedberg), 7.0,' beat G. Hanlon (Martin's) 7.0, on points. A.
