Russian mobiles are racing to cut the German lifeline in the Baltic trap by a thrust to the Tallinn railway between Tartu and Valk, reports Reuters Moscow correspondent. They were last reported to be . within; 14 miles of the line.
Two columns are pushing on Valk, one along the railway from Pskov, the, other through the marshes and lowlying ground below this line.
