'NOT STRONG ENOUGH'
FARMERS' MOTION OF PROTEST
PALMERSTON N., This. Day.
A meeting of farmers at Feilding carried the following motion: "That this representative meeting of dairy farmers deplores the unfair treatment meted out to the industry, and views with concern the failure of the Government to appreciate the temper of producers, who today express their complete lack of confidence in the ability of the Government to accord the industry equitable treatment." Two women dairy farmers were among those who spoke in protest. It was suggested by one speaker during the discussion that it was time dairy farmers took a leaf, out of the miners' book. "They say the farmer won't strike; well, we will show them.wo can," he declared, amidst applause. After the motion had been carried it was agreed to add to it that it did not express the feeling of those present, many being of the opinion that the motion was -not strong enough;'
