CYCLE BATTERIES
Np PERMITS NECESSARY
Permits are no longer necessary for the purchase of cycle lamp batteries announced the Minister of Supply and Munitions (Mr. Sullivan) today. "Due to the extremely heavy demands of our own and allied services and the difficulties associated with the procurement of raw * materials and supplementary supplies of manufactured batteries, it has for some time past been necessary to control the sale of. cycle lamp batteries to the general public," said the Minister. "However, the supply position has now improved and in accordance with Government policy that wartime controls shall be removed as soon as they-are no longer necessary, the control has been revoked and purchases may be made at cycle dealers' and other stores in the ordinary way."
