SYDNEY, August 9. Wing Commander Rollo Kingsford Smith, D.F.C., aged 24, has been granted an immediate award of the D.S.O. The youngest nephew of the late Sir Charles Kingsford Smith, Wing Commander Rollo Kingsford Smith has the unusual distinction of having gained immediate awards of both his decorations. His D.F.C. was won two months dgo. He is now officer commanding the senior R.A.A.F. Lancaster squadron in Britain. His two brothers are both in; the R.A.A.F. John, the eldest, is a squadron leader in an operational unit.
