REPRESENTATIVE MATCH

: Wellington's hockey representatives were In action at the Basin Reserve on Saturday afternoon against a side representing the Air Force (Delta), and playing well all round they won by 5 goals to 2. A late change was made in the team, Johansson replacing Thrush as a full-back and later moving to the forwards when I. Ting was Injured. Wellington took the lead early when Smiler scored, and there was an Increase when a bright, snappy movement resulted in Nlcholls finding the net. That was the position at the end of an interesting half, but It was quickly altered in the second spell with a rush which ended in Neate scoring Wellington's third goal. Determined efforts by Air Forco eventually had ihe desired result, O'Keefo scoring. During the remainder of the match Ferguson and , Johansson each scored a goal for Wellington and O'Keefe scored another for Air Force. The Karorl and Technical College juniors staged a bright curtain-raiser In which Karorl won by 3 goals to 1. GRADE COMPETITIONS.
