IN AUSTRALIAN AIR FORCE
Evelyn Ireland, of the R.N.Z.A.F., is the first New Zealand airwoman to join the Australian W.A.A.A.F. After the death of her parents she obtained permission to go to Australia, where her brother, Mr. Gordon Ireland, who is also her nearest relative, is a musical producer for the Australian Broadcasting Commission in Melbourne. Miss Ireland was permitted to resign from the New Zealand W.A.A.F. when she gave an undertaking that she would enlist in • the Australian W.A.A.A.F. In New Zealand she was
