GRINDING POWER

WASHINGTON, July 25,
The Secretary of War (Mr. Stimson). broadcasting after his three weeks' tour of the fighting fronts in Italy and France, declared: "Our men and our allies have begun applying grinding superior power against Germany, whose armies and people are shaken and shot through Avith doubts. However, they are not yet broken." Mr. Stimson said that the end of the European war avhs not yet apparent to the men doing the fighting, and urged the home front workers to keep the mighty tide of Avar production fioiving to the fronts uninterruptedly.
