"Action has already been taken in respect to the allegations made, and to avoid delay the Armed Forces Personnel Committee has been empowered to report from time to time concerning the various establishments they have visited or inspected," said the Minister of Defence (Mr. Jones) in the House of Representatives yesterday. He was replying to an urgent question from Mr. H. T. Morton (National, Waitemata), Ai'ho asked Avhether in view of certain published disclosures "of a topheavy Air Force and the building up of uiiAvarranted establishment by officers," the Minister proposed to take action Avithout delay; or A\*hether he would await the report of the Services Personnel Committee, which had by no means completed its investigations.
