INVITATION TO CITIES
LONDON, July 11. Sir William Darling, Lord Provost of Edinburgh, has sent a mesage to 40 cities of the United Nations, including Wellington, Auckland, and Sydney, inviting them to join in paying tribute to Londoners for their steadfastness. "It seems fitting that the great cities of the free world should express jointly" their profound admiration for the unflinching courage with which London has met and is still meeting attempts to break her spirit," he said.
