SERVICE CLUB TREAT
PROFESSIONALS ENTERTAIN
Men and - women of the Services who made use of the Allied Services Club, Manners Street, last night were treated to a very special entertainment, four members of the visiting J. C. Williamson Company, Miss Lily Moore, Mr. Lloyd Lamble, Mr. Allan Christie, and Mr. Sam Stern, making a voluntary appearance at the club and giving individual performances which were thoroughly appreciated by their large audience. _ Miss Moore, who is a sister of the famous musical comedy artist Carrie Moore, obtained the best part of^her stage experience in London, where she appeared in a number of successful musical productions and serious plays. She was brought back to Australia and has been portraying leading parts in comedies and dramas which have been successfully staged in Sydney and Melbourne during the past three years. One of her favourite roles in her long list of characterisations is Aunt Martha in "Arsenic and Old Lace." , , ' , Items were also given at the club by a young local entertainer, Leigh Brewer, and during fboth afternoon and evening sessions Mr. George Dawson nrovided pianoforte music.
