SINO-AMERICAN SUCCESS
Rec. 9 a.m. KANDY, June 25. Chinese troops advancing south from Kamaing have made further progress. In the Myitkyina area American troops are advancing southwards along the Maingna ferry road in the face of Japanese machine-gun and mortar fire. Other Americans are astride, (he Radhapur road and have advanced to a point a mile south of the junction of the Suprabum and Mogaung roads.
Thrusting into the hills 20 or 30 miles north of Imphal and east of the Kohima road, our troops have maintained their pursuit of the Japanese.
