OBITUARY
LORD ESSENDON
LONDON, June 24. The death has occurred of Lord Essendon. .
Frederick William Lewis was created the first Baron Essendon in 1932. He was chairman of Furness, Withey, and Co., Ltd., and of 26 other shipping and insurance companies associated with that firm. He was also prominently associated with a number of other bodies connected with the shipping industry.
