PA,- WESTPORT, June 18. 'in' a .'good open game, on a fairly heavy ground, Buller beat West Coast, 8-5, In trie first of the home-and-home Rugby matches of the season. Tries were scored by A. Cummings and 0. Smallholme for Buller, A. Dunn converting one. R. Birchfleld'scored a try for West Coast- which was converted by Llndbom. The Buller backs, especially in tho first spell, had a feast of the ball from G. drman, Buller hooker, "who has lost none of the arts of the game, though he has been a Ud»!>y. League, and Soccer representative from well back In the war years.
