Mr. S. Osmond, secretary of the A:M.P. Society, Sydney, who" is" on a business visit to New Zealand, arrived in Wellington from Auckland today. Mr. J. H. Frater has been elected chairman of the. Auckland Harbour Board. He has been deputy chairman for. the last two years; and chairman of the finance committee ..for' three years. Mr. Frater is one of the best known of_ Auckland's business men, being a senior partner in the firm of Frater Bros., stock, arid' sharebrokers.
