Greasy marks on the wallpaper can be banished, and here is the way to do it. *

N.Z. Boy Violinist, News of Alan Loveday, the talented boy violinist from Palmerston North, now studying in England; is contained in a letter from his father. Alan, states the letter,' spends three days each week at the Royal Collegia of Music studying harmony, composi tion, and pianoforte, as well as his violin practice. He recently played the Elgar concerto at a private concert in London, and was thought highly of at the college. He was working very hard and improving all the time. Ida Handel' was the star violin soloist in London at the present time, but Albert Sammons (Alan's teacher) said there was no one to compare with Alan coming on to take, the place of the older players. Mr Loveday also mentioned that Colin Horsley, the brilliant Wanganui pianist, was doing well and was broadcasting a good deal.
