A GOOD START
KARORI Y.W.C.A. CLUB
The project of a young people's club put forward by the Karori Y.W.C.A. committee met with a good response, and in the past month over sixty young people attended on club night. On the self-governing principle, the following were elected a committee:—Beverley Bradley, June Martin, Justene Head, Deidre Satherley, John Christiansen, Colin Sinclair, Bill Watters, and Keith Sutton. They listed interested groups for table tennis, hiking, drama, glee singing, study of current affairs and people of the hour, and social dancing, The Masonic Hall is the club's meeting place, and Messrs. John Robson and R. A. Martin were appointed senior hosts.
Sale Tomorrow at Thorndon
The Thorndon branch of the Plunket Society will hold a sale of goods, including produce, cakes, etc., at the Methodist Church, Molesworth Street, tomorrow, commencing at 2.30 p.m.
