WORLD SECURITY TALKS
Rec. 10.30 a.m. WASHINGTON, May 30,
Mr. Hull has invited the Ambassadors of Russia, Britain, and China to begin informal talks in Washington as soon as possible on the creation of a world security organisation. Mr. Hull told a Press conference that the United States is also ready to discuss the proposal with other countries whenever they desire. He explained that the main points of conversations which he had with Ambassadors today related primarily to the date for a meeting.
Lord Halifax told the Press: "Mr. Hull asked us to convey an intimation to our Governments that the United States would be glad to open conversations on the general problem of post-war security."
