REHABILITATION OFFICERS
The following additional appointments of district rehabilitation officers were announced last evening by the Minister of Rehabilitation (Major Skinner):— Whangarei, Mr. H. S. Bower; Hamilton, Mr. D. Barrett; Gisborne, Mr. D. R. A. Baker; Paeroa, Mr. G. G. Rae; Ashburton, Mr. L. W. Baxter; Christchurch, Mr. J. B. Pearson; Masterton, Mr. E. M. Basil-Jones; Wanganui, Mr. J. W. Barber. Mr. Basil-Jones was educated at the Christchurch Boys' High School, and before the war was a member of the staff of the Social Security Department, Christchurch and Ashburton. He left New Zealand with the Ist Echelon and served with the division in Libya, Greece, Crete, and Tunisia. He returned to New Zealand with the first furlough draft and joined the staff of the Rehabilitation Department in Christchurch.
